Eat Stop Eat

Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat is a great program that incorporates 1-2 twenty-four hour fasts in your diet each week. Brad explains that when you add 1-2 fasts each week, along with doing a workout program that includes intervals and resistance training 3 days per week, you can basically eat how you would normally eat (for maintenance) and lose fat and weight. If you do 2 fasts during a week, you are cutting your total calorie intake by 30%. There is no need for extra dieting, counting calories, or overly restricting your foods.

This program creates the zig-zag effect in your calories and keeps your body guessing, which is what you need to do in order to keep losing fat and weight. The fasts are not too hard to do, because you are never going an entire day without food. A typical fast might start at 2pm, and end at 2pm the following day. So you are having breakfast, and lunch the day you start the fast, and then dinner the following day.

I used Eat Stop Eat during my Turbulence Training body transformation contest.

You never go an entire day without food, but the intermittent fasting creates a big calorie zig-zag and substantial fat loss while allowing you to eat at maintenance level or above on non-fasting days.
